I cannot believe that a year has come and gone since you have gone to the highest realm of your life. Your memories will forever be engraved in my mind. I still see and feel your presence every time I look at your favorite seat in Church. Keep looking down on us and interceding on our behalf. Missing You!
Deji Soluade TRIBUTE TO A DEAR COUSIN February 19, 2018

Titi, It's a pity I can't be here, but I know you will understand that if I could, I will.
You're more of a sister to me than a cousin. We grew up together with our grandmother,
lived under the same roof in the same room. We laughed together, cried together and had
squabbles like all siblings do, but we do care about and love each other dearly. An adage in
our culture says 20 children cannot play for 20 years, we did, but naturally, as we became
adults,we had to find our different ways in life, taking us to different parts of the world. First,
Ola, your lovely husband took you away from me, but that was temporary; we still
communicate and saw each other a few times. The last time was just over a year ago when
you came to the UK. We had so much fun and your laughter radiated in our home that my
family, your nephew and niece are planning for us to visit you and your family in the US this
summer. Now death has plucked you away from us. You know what, it is not forever as you
will still live in our memories and it is that bubbly personality that will linger in our hearts. I
will rather keep your laughter of last time in my memory than seeing you unresponsive in a
coffin. Adieu my dear sister. Rest in the Lord till we meet again to part no more. We love you
but God loves you more. He will give Ola, the girls and the rest of us the fortitude to bear this
irreparable loss --Amen.

A song for Stella:
Jewels (When He Cometh)

Lyrics: William O Cushing

When He cometh, when He cometh
To take up His jewels
All His jewels, precious jewels
His Loved and His own.

Like the stars of the morning
His bright crown adorning
They will shine in their beauty
Bright gems for His crown.

He will gather, He will gather
The gems for His kingdom
All the pure ones, all the bright ones
His loved and His own.

Like the stars of the morning
His bright crown adorning
They will shine in their beauty
Bright gems for his crown.

Little children, little children
O love their Redeemer
All the Jewels, precious jewels
His loved and His own.

Like the stars of the morning
His bright crown adorning
They will shine in their beauty
Bright gems for His crown.

C. Bourguet My deepest condolence March 12, 2018

My condolences, as feelings of pain and bitterness become unbearable. It is my desire to convey a comforting thought based on the Holy Scriptures

John 5:28 "Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out."

This passage speaks of the resurrection of our loved ones. It is not God's plan to see us suffer and die, so He extends the following invitation to us: "Come near to God and He will draw near to you" (James 4:8)

Please go to the following link to obtain more information regarding the Hope expressed in this passage and again we are sorry for your loss.

D. Alexander Holiday Condolence February 12, 2018

To my Nigerian Brother and Friend and his his family, the news of your wife and mother's passing has touched us all.  I, too, would like to extend my deepest condolences to the Adewunmi family.  As I said in church, using some of the words of a African-American poet/playwrite, Countee Cullen, "I doubt not God is goog/Well meaning, kind/And did He stoop to quibble/Could tell why/The little buried mole continues blind/Why flesh that mirrors Him/Must someday die...."  I would also invite you to look at another African-American writer's poem, the great James Wendell Johnson's "Go Down Death" and that you all may find solace in his words.
Hendrick Polanco My Deepest Condolences February 10, 2018

My deepest condolences.  May these few words from the Holy Scriptures bring you comfort in your time of grief...

John 11:32-45

32 And so Mary, when she arrived where Jesus was and caught sight of him, fell at his feet, saying to him: “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.” 33 Jesus, therefore, when he saw her weeping and the Jews that came with her weeping, groaned in the spirit and became troubled; 34 and he said: “Where have YOU laid him?” They said to him: “Lord, come and see.” 35 Jesus gave way to tears. 36 Therefore the Jews began to say: “See, what affection he used to have for him!” 37 But some of them said: “Was not this [man] that opened the eyes of the blind man able to prevent this one from dying?”

38 Hence Jesus, after groaning again within himself, came to the memorial tomb. It was, in fact, a cave, and a stone was lying against it.39 Jesus said: “TAKE the stone away.” Martha, the sister of the deceased, said to him: “Lord, by now he must smell, for it is four days.”40 Jesus said to her: “Did I not tell you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?” 41 Therefore they took the stone away. Now Jesus raised his eyes heavenward and said: “Father, I thank you that you have heard me. 42 True, I knew that you always hear me; but on account of the crowd standing around I spoke, in order that they might believe that you sent me forth.” 43 And when he had said these things, he cried out with a loud voice: “Laz´a·rus, come on out!” 44The [man] that had been dead came out with his feet and hands bound with wrappings, and his countenance was bound about with a cloth. Jesus said to them: “Loose him and let him go.”

45 Therefore many of the Jews that had come to Mary and that beheld what he did put faith in him;
