Pastors Lanre & Abiola Peters A great loss January 31, 2018

We met Dr. Adewumi & Mrs. Stella Adewumi over 14 years ago when the Redeemed Christian Church of God came to the Capital District.  Throughout this time and up till now, they have shown their love to us as a church community and with their presence at almost all our events.  Mrs. Stella Adewumi was an amazing woman and we will always remember her kindness and that special glowing smile which was contagious with anyone she came in contact with.   At our last Couples Banquet event in November 2017, she looked absolutely gorgeous as always and the red color suited her.  She also participated in all the event’s activities.  We will also remember her zest for life.

The memory of her sweet and gentle soul is as overwhelming as the shock of her transition. Our comfort lies in the many good works that the Almighty God had graciously allowed her to do while here and in the knowledge that she is not gone forever but sleeping in The Lord.

We have no doubt in our hearts that she had been a great pillar of support to her husband and her family.

It is good to know that our God is more than able to comfort, strengthen and keep Dr. Adewumi and the children.  Our prayer for you, Dr. Adewumi and the children that the comfort of the Holy Spirit will indeed delight your souls. God will indeed sustain you in The Mighty Name of Jesus Christ. We also pray for the rest of the family that The Almighty God will uphold you all.

Mrs. Stella Adewumi, You were such an inspiration, a beacon of hope and a source of strength. You finished your journey here on earth having had such an impact on the lives of so many people that knew you. The tributes given to you by so many only confirms your genuity.

We are so glad as a church community and personally to have known you and even more privileged to have heard all these beautiful tributes of you.

Sleep well in the Savior’s bosom!

It‘s still incredible that you have passed on. You were such a nice lady who responded to every invitation from my family members. Hardly any month that we do not exchange text messages on matters relative to family well being and progress. Our last correspondence was December 26, 2017, and none again for January 2918, except for liking a post on my Facebook on the day you passed on. You have done your part in life. At the appointed time, those of us you left behind will also be in your present state. Your demise is still like a dream. May your soul Rest In Peace.

From many miles away I am sending sincere and heartfelt condolences to Ola and his beloved daughter's. When I joined our Black Catholic Apostolate Church many years ago I had no idea that I would meet such warm and friendly families . I  enjoyed meeting beautiful and inspiring families . We worship and pray together. We attend dinner dances, fund raisers, graduation and birthday parties and picnics. . We all share a common bond of our love for Jesus ,love for our church community, promoting family values and  as ND educational excellence in our children. I have lived out of the country for 13 years but when I return to Albany it's like I never left. Ola and Stella and their daughters exemplify  a wonderful example of how a family achieves the ultimate goal of being successful, Christians. Stella Rest in Peace knowing that we love you and will always remember your smile, your  caring ways ,tour dedication and devotion to your family and your church. Until we all.meet again in Heaven.  Carol Griesemer
